Super comfortable jugs in less steep terrain; positive power endurance holds in steep.

The Basic style is defined by smooth contours for your hands to lay comfortably on the hold. You can expect 5.9/V1 out of these holds on lower angled walls. The incut is on about a 45 degree slope so as the wall gets steeper, they become considerably harder.

Atomik Basic differs from Simple. There is no crease on the incut which makes Basic more comfy but less of an incut, so when the going gets steep the weak start slipping :)Basic has a larger footprint so that you can't pinch them as easily as the Simple jugs.

We consider these really positive Power Endurance holds in steep terrain.

Glad I got them
For my set up, these are perfect. I have two training boards, side by side, one 40 degree, one 25 degree and I can set long circuits from one to the other. The Basic Jugs are cruiser on the 25, fun V1 unless I orient them into underclings, but as I move onto the 40, the difficulty ratchets up considerably, V3+ depending on orientation. The 12 pack is just the right number to build a full circuit.

Very comfortable but challenging on overhanging wall
The holds are very kind on the hand. On vertical walls they are juggy. As the angle tips back I find I move to more of a half crimp grip from a jug drag. They are not "easy" as the wall tilts to overhanging. Still really positive at 35 degrees but definitely not a hold to hang out on for an easy shake. The more the wall kicks back the more pump these lead to and the better training you get.

Finger jugs!
These are really good finger bucket type jugs.  The incut isn't too deep, so they're a little harder than a lot of the other jugs Atomik makes in a similar size.  I really like these for my circuits on my 15 & 30 degree wall.

Very Rounded Small Jugs
Very rounded small jugs. Positive in vertical to slightly overhanging terrain, almost sloppy in very steep terrain.  Definitely an open handed hold, none cause me to crimp.

SO comfortable
We got 5 of these as part of the 100 Steep Wall Set. These are probably our favorite Atomik holds. They're awesome for setting V1-V3 warm-ups on our 40 degree wall because they're insanely comfortable.

Great on overhung walls
These holds are great for endurance training on overhung walls (~30 degrees in my case). They fit about 1-1.25 finger pads in them and have a nice smooth lip. However, they aren't so deep that you could hang from them with one hand on an overhang. If you're struggling with crimps on overhung walls, these might be a good starting point for you. Highly recommend.

Challenging on sloped walls
The description is very accurate - compared to the Simple jugs, these have much less of a crease so on a sloped wall, these start to become much more difficult.  I can get about 1.5-2 pads on them.  My estimation is that they are V3 on a 30-40 degree wall.

Just as their name suggests
These holds are very comfortable and have a nicely shaped lip that's easy on your fingers.  I love putting these on my volumes because it allows me to grab them with my hands oriented in a way where my palms aren't just facing the wall section.  Basically, think of it as grabbing these holds like you were going to shake hands with someone (palms facing left or right or even up as an under cling).  For all of these options, these holds are great.  They are the perfect balance between a large jug and a comfortable incut crimp.  I think this would be a great set to put on a kid's wall to add a little challenge.

Comfy!!
They are awesome basic holds for setting for beginner climbers on vertical to slightly overhung terrain. Nice and comfy for running laps on on the steeper walls.
