This is a really well-designed hold, in my opinion. It looks and feels awesome, for one, but it's the craters and ridges and dimples that make it so versatile. You can change it to be as difficult or easy as you like just by rotating it (though when I started off with it on a 45 degree wall it was way too hard for me, a heavy beginner type; it's on a 20 degree one now and works incredibly well); depending on angle and rotation anywhere from V1-V?. Can be used with one hand or two. Great texture for grip, especially when used solely as sloper. Besides all that, one thing I love about it is that it ends up being not just a simple one kind of hold; I know this sounds funny to say about a hold shaped like the moon, but it feels more realistic to me because of that. Really helps develop ability to hold things that are kind of divots, kind of slopers, kind of crimps, all mixed. Also, I do think it must be said, in general I think climbing holds cost too much but for this one, given what it would cost from anyone else, the price is extremely fair. It doesn't hurt that my kids think it's the coolest thing. One last thing though: GET THE BOLT INCLUDED. The length you need is extremely hard to find at hardware stores or online, at least where I am. I felt a little indulgent spending this much on one hold but I have to say, I haven't regretted it at all.
