XL Adjustable Sloper (0 to 25 degrees) (Screw-On)

This sloper has an incut ranging from 0 Degrees to 25 degrees.

The XL Adjustable Sloper is an omnidirectional hold offering incuts ranging from 0 to 25 degrees. In its easiest orientation, if you set this hold on a 25-degree overhanging wall, you will have an area to grip that is horizontal to the ground with a comfortable rounded edge—a sloper. In this orientation, the difficulty ranges from V1-4, depending on how you utilize it.

Rotating the hold from its most positive to grip orientation will offer many different versions and can be set to feel more right-hand or left-hand dependent. So, in our example, the easiest way to do this hold is on a 25-degree wall, gym-grade V1-4. Rotating the hold on this wall to its hardest orientation, 0 degrees, will feel in the V3-V7+ range, again depending on how you utilize it.

This hold offers a lot of range to fine-tune difficulty. Grabbing it straight on feels like an XL cobblestone, and using the full 3" depth works well for compression moves. Let us know how you like it as a burly match.

  • SIZE: The average hold measures 5-3/4" wide x 5-1/2" tall x 3" standing off the wall.

  • Excellent in steep terrain for the intermediate climber setting V4+ and above.
