The ring design is the most positive style of hold that can be designed for climbing holds. Wrap your whole hand around the ring section and an adult will find that your pointer finger and thumb can touch each other. The "shaft" part of this ring measures 1-1/2" which is 1/4" larger than our best-selling Large Ring.

We have 3 other models of this design:

Large Ring Bolt-on (Bestselling size for Downclimb routes. Tight for an adult hand.)

Large Ring Screw-on (Tight for an adult hand.)

XL Ring Bolt-on (Ample space for an adult hand)

  • 1.5" diameter shaft
  • Measures 7-1/2" wide x 5-1/2" tall x 3" standing off the wall.
  • This climbing hold attaches with screws.
  • A full adult-sized hand fits comfortably.

Excellent on overhangs!!!
I made an “overhang” roof in my basement by attaching holds vertically to the ceiling rafters. This ring allows for an entire adult hand and therefore provides a good active rest. My wife and son climb V1 on overhangs and both like this ring a long. The rough texture also helps build up those calluses quick :)

Great grip strengthener.
I purchased this one as a finisher on my 45 section of my wall for down climbing. Love it. I have big hands and I can get both of my mitts on this guy. Actually glad this came with the old original texture as sometimes it's satisfying feeling that rough grain texture. Great for one hand hangs.

Great for overhang!
I got this to add to the ceiling of my home cave. It's a really big hold, can just about get two full hands on there.

Allows for good, dynamic movement, wild grabs, etc...

Well textured, comfortable grip, and very solid feeling with 5 screws in it. The screws are #8 to fit right. #9 is too big.

Very Big, Secure Hold
Large hold that an adult can easily get their entire hand into. Rough texture which can be a positive, or a negative, depending on how you intend to use the hold. If you want to use them for dynamic movements, I would suggest sanding them a little bit by hand so that your hand can move through the ring. After sanding them a little bit, they were the perfect mixture of grippy but smooth enough for me to use them for dyno's. For static movement and/or downclimbing, the texture makes them very grippy and secure.

Roof perfection!
Provides a lot of confidence in steep terrain. Right texture too. Love the screw on approach as it allows you to fill in your wall between T-nuts, especially around support structures. Can even be used to do pull-ups or other training moves from the roof!
