These receivers work great mounted onto a 2x6 or 2x8 board. They differ from a traditional pegboard in a couple significant ways: 1. they require more accuracy when placing the pegs into the holes because you don't have a flat surface to poke around on before finding the hole; 2. the pegs rotate in the holes more than a traditional wooden pegboard. These therefore work the grip more because you can't just place a peg and hang on it.
I don't really train on them as sloper holds because the holes hit my hands where I've got big old calluses so it's not comfortable for me.
