This listing is for the Large Ring Bolt-on. It fits an entire child's hand or three fingers/knuckles for an adult hand.

Here is a link to all of our other climbing hold rings.

Large Ring Screw-on (Same size as the Bolt-on version)

XL Ring Bolt-on (Ample space for an adult hand)

XL Ring Screw-on (Ample space for an adult hand)

The Large Ring is the smallest, most cost-effective ring we can make. Rings are the preferred design for climbing walls that need to supply the easiest hold possible to grab.

The price and design make this product the go-to choice of commercial gyms setting downclimb routes from the top of their tall bouldering walls. It is also the go-to choice for any other climbing wall that requires a low-cost hold that offers the most positive grip possible.

As a kid's hold, there is no other type of hold that can beat a ring. The design offers the most positive handlebar-like grip to provide security and stability to the climber. These traits make this hold an excellent choice for playgrounds, home walls, ninja courses, and commercial climbing gyms.

  • SIZE: Measures 5-1/4" tall x 5-1/4" wide x 2-1/2" standing off the wall.
  • SIZE: The ring portion where you grab measures 1-1/4" outside diameter.
  • Use it as a downclimb hold from tall bouldering walls and an everyday cost-effective jug on any angle of a wall, including roof sections.
  • You can expect to fit a child's whole hand around the bar of this climbing wall grip.
  • For an adult-sized hand, there is room for three fingers/knuckles. Adults usually prefer the XL RING.
  • Texture: The texture offers a grip that is skin-friendly and feels like natural rock.

Excellent!
I bought two of these holds for my son's wall at home.  I first put them on the overhanging section and he would climb to them and hang.  I recently added a roof piece to the wall and he now climbs to the ceiling to grab them.  He is three years old and he is able to grip them very easily and can hang pretty well.  As for most adults, I don't think a full hand would fit, but they are good for a two or three-finger grip.

Great Company
So I was planning on putting a system board on the ceiling of the stairway coming up from our basement.  I originally placed an order and commented on my plans.  The president of the company contacted me with some suggestion about holds that would work better for my application.

He then threw in a few extras to improve the wall.  The hold are high quality, have a nice hand-feel, and seem sturdy.  And we now have a fun training space (I did make a movable, cushioned landing pad for the stairs.)

Safety first!
Put several of these up to help down climb. In the meantime I have other uses for them. Nice to hang off of to tighten other holds. Good for burn out when you cannot hold onto anything else. Helpful for those learning to climb on the roof.

Must have on every woodie
My woodie at it's highest point is about 12 feet above floor level.  From there it tapers down to around 9 feet high.  The point is, if your pushing it hard and get pumped, it really is a great feeling to just grab onto one of these rings to climb down.  Unless you pass out or something, there is no way to lose your grip on one of these.  Bomber is an understatement.  I own 5 of them so I can have one on every section of my wall about 5-6 feet apart.  I also use them when I want a quick "warm-up" by just traversing back and forth grabbing these as I go.

Can’t go wrong with this
As good as it looks.  I have a couple and they always get set.  Perfect warm up or down climb hold.

Good holds!
I got these holds so my 5 year old, my mom and I could down climb and save our joints. These are large enough for all of us to easily get down. The texture is really nice and we picked a bright orange so they are easy to see. Good solid holds for our purposes.

Great for Downclimb jugs
Great for downclimbing, they look clean on the wall and the grey tone doesn't interfere with other colors we have on the wall. It would be nice if they had a predrilled screw hole to set screw them. We have bought hundreds of these and will continue to get more for our facilities.

Best Roof Hold You Can Buy
Got these to place on the roof section of my garage rock wall. They are great, simple holds to have up. Love hanging off them, either as part of a route or just to do some pull-ups. The texture is nice, easy on the skin. I have 3 as of now but plan on buying 2 or 3 more. I feel very secure traversing my roof with a few of these puppies hanging around. Totally worth it!

The best rings offered here
This are my favorite rings.  They are large enough for adult 3 fingers.  Bought 5 for garage roof system (3 panels large), and they are now essential to getting roof traversing volume in.  Texture is skin friendly.  Great rings.  Will get more soon.

Great for a cave section too
I put one of these in the small cave section of our home wall.  It is a nice easy hold in this section.  It feels great on the hands.

victory ring
not huge but gets it done-sanded mine a little  to minimize jug rash when using it to warm up-kids gravitate toward it as the finishing target on the wall (fits small hands well)

Great Ceiling Holds
I currently have 4 of these on the ceiling of my home wall. Super strong and sturdy to swing from or have a good grip while resting. As an adult, I can only fit 3 fingers in it max. If your looking for a ceiling loop like this, I noticed that is mostly single directional use. If you try to grip from the other side it is less comfortable and you may hit your knuckles on the bulge for the bolt.

Nice holds but small. Xlarge are better.
These holds are quite good, although they really are quite small for down climbing. I bough two of these and two of the xl, and I wish that I had bought 4 of the xl instead. I have small hands, but my hands still aren't close to fully fitting into the ring. I think the product name should more accurately be called small or medium ring. I fully acknowledge the sizing in the description is correct, they just seemed smaller than I expected.

Great for roof and sloped walls
I use them on my 45 degree wall and roof section of my home wall.  Grip is just right and I have never had issues with them spinning.  You can even hang from them even at the end of your climbing session.

Great for pull ups
I bought two of these to create sort of a pull up bar at the top of my 45 degree wall. They work great and are big enough to hold comfortably.

D rings all day
Just when you get to the top out and your exhausted, here come the d rings to save the day. make sure your students know these because they save lives. The great giant shape that gives ample hand and foot coverage for climb-downs.

Even better
Bought both the original and the upgrade.  Both are great but the upgrade really is an upgrade. Set screw is perfect and the texture is just a little rougher which is nice when I am sweaty on my roof section where I have these placed.  These really are 3 finger handles so they are slightly more advanced in a steep or roof section.

Game changer
Tight fit with 4 fingers but still awesome. Using it as a finishing hold on a less than 45 degree wall. Didnt use the screw stabilizer because it hasn't moved but great option for extra security if needed.

Holy down climb!
Hold gives all climbing levels a sense of safety while ascending and descending. We have a 30⁰ wall and this hold is used frequently. The texture is great and provides enough space to hold comfortably. Overall, great utility hold.

Perfect for loft bed access!
My son wanted a loft bed that he could climb into and out of adjacent to his in room bouldering wall, so we got these to ensure he could easily/safely get in and out of his bed in the middle of night if necessary. They are perfect for him to feel his grip with both his feet and hands. The color options are amazing and look stunning! Would definitely recommend this product for any down climbing use case!

Exactly what I needed
I purchased 2 of these for a small 3 foot roof section that serves as a transition from my 35-degree wall to a vert wall.  I have some other large pinch and wood holds as well on this section but these are definitely the go-to hold when I need a bomber hold.  Highly recommend these and I will be getting more of these for down-climbing.

Great campus and downclimb holds on the steeps.
This review is for version 2.0. These holds are very positive and comfy with nice radius, texture and shape. I can camp out on one hand and hold a drill in the other. I use them as large comfy campus holds on my 40 and as downclimb holds on my 49 and 15. They are amazing jugs for steep terrain. Three of these spaced 16” apart vertically make for a great downclimb from the top of a moonboard height wall.

This is the platonic ideal of a downclimb hold.

Rest Stops/Easy Holds
I use these as overhang "rest stops" and so far so good! Been using them plenty and haven't had any issues. Also always nice for begginers who want to experience the overhang section of my wall. Size wise.. I can comfortably overhang from them using my whole hand. I like them. Handy to have.

Put a ring on it
I was looking for a few good holds for my roof. My kids and I love this new addition. It's great to hang off the ceiling with. A nice hold to try and get to on the roof. Thanks Atomik!

great but small
These are some great downclimb holds or good beginner holds for someones first time up the wall but they are a little too skinny for adults to get their hands inside completely. I can only get about half of my hand through the opening. Still great for kids though!

Great for downclimbing and hanging under the roof
I wanted these holds to campus and for the roof.  They are great, perfect size for my hand, and the grip texture on the hold is the best.  I bought four of these for my wall, but I am going to need more.  I put two close together to also use for pull ups.  I love the deal on these and will be buying more!

Great holds for training
This is my second purchase of these holds- I use these for my home climbing wall.  Good for endurance training and safely practicing those roof moves know that I have a secure handle to grab.  The hold has a nice grippy texture and can be used on the wall and under the roof.  The price is great and I will probably be ordering more.  I highly recommend them.

Great jug.
Right now I use it as the final hold on my incline for the kids. My 5 year old loves to hang on it in victory. Eventually plan on putting on the roof when that section is done. Great full hand hold for kids or smaller hands but may be more of a three finger grab for bigger hands.

Best priced down climb jug
After searching many different vendors, I couldn't find a better price for a handle-bar jug like this!

Great rings
Picked up several of these and will probably get more as we add to our wall. As previous reviews have mentioned, they're not large enough for the average adult hand to fully wrap around the center of the ring section, but that hasn't been a problem. They're still great for down climbing, warm up, etc. My youngest daughter loves them, and they've been a great confidence booster for her going up and down our wall.
