The Double Hander Scoop is a shape that offers many unique route setting variations. The tongue is a convex ledge, and it sticks out so far that you can almost sit on it.  When the hold is turned to a vertical orientation, the face of the lip turns into a pinch. Depending on how deep you can grab it, the width ranges from 1-1/2" to 2". The result is a mega side-pull.

The hold is great for competitions as it has variable positive surfaces depending on which surface you use.  Too positive?  Rotate the hold, and it's a whole new game. This hold does well when you flip it upside down. It turns from a neutrally incut ledge to a horizontal pinch.

On low angled home walls, we suggest setting it up high on your wall. The distance this holds stands off the wall is plenty for you to catch your elbow or while falling.

  • SIZE: Measure 8-3/4" wide x 7" tall x 4-7/8" off the wall.
  • It has a neutral incut.
  • TEXTURE: The texture offers a grip that is skin-friendly and feels like natural rock.

Get The Scoops!
As a commercial routesetter that has set for at least 6 gyms I have used countless holds.  These holds are unique and a mainstay for any home wall or commercial gym.  They are great for competitions as well as they have variably positive surfaces depending on which surface you use.  Too positive?  Rotate the hold and it's a whole new game.  Must have!  Looking forwards to getting more of your amazing (and very reasonable as far cost is concerned) holds!  Thanks again Kenny!  - Dr. Z

Fun big two hand hold
This hold rocks, two hand, one hand, set in any direction, pinch, ledge, I love holds that have multi uses and this one is a keeper.

great hold
This hold was better than expected. Fipping it 180 degrees on a 25 degree wall turns it from a rest to a struggle for me. Lots of space for matching hands. Very versatile hold.

Big movement
Juts pretty far out from the wall so it can be a little hazardous in a fall on vertical/semi-steep walls, so I set this higher on my 20-degree wall and it's fine. On that angle it can be an almost flat ledge or powerful pinch upside down. My favorite use is as a mega sidepull on traversing routes. Medium-rough texture but comfortable. Very classy-looking hold and lots of fun.
