Set #2 is the less positive version of these simple pocket rock climbing holds. They still offer deep pockets to dig into but these 6 are definitely smaller than Set #1. Choose this set if you are an experienced pocket climber and are looking for a little less pocket to pull on. If you'd prefer something more suitable for beginners, have a look at this pack of more positive pocket wall grips today!

All of the pockets in these medium climbing holds have been designed to flip. You get a super positive pocket on one side and a less positive version on the other.

Pockets? pockets.
Pockets are probably the kind of hold I use the least, so I realized I needed to practice them! That said, the 4 finger pockets won't be so different from just a 4-finger positive edge/crimp.

I think the grades for other angles seem consistent with what I'd expect from my 27 degree wall. The deeper side will give a ~V2 problem, while the thinner side will give a V3 or harder problem.

Great Pockets
I use these on a 20 degree wall. There is really good variety in size and depth. I used the bigger ones as finishing holds, but the smaller shallow ones are some of the most challenging holds on my wall. I have only used them in the standard direction, but it looks like you could turn them upside down and really increase the difficulty.

Versatile pockets
Nice variety of pockets, both width and depth. And that’s before you flip them over.  The deeps ones are almost jugs. I’ve found it best to mix these in with other holds, especially the shallower ones.  Using these one after another I’ve found to be tough on the fingers.  Using on a 25 degree overhang and I’ve been able to get good retention on all of the holds.  People with smaller hands can get four fingers in the three finger pockets.

Stoked on these pockets!
I ordered these pockets a week ago in red white and blue and I've already received and set them. I love how they're just positive enough fory 38 degree wall yet I can spin them around and they'd be super hard! Shapes are jive and simple and the texture is not too aggressive. I'll be buying some more simple training sets from atomikclimbingholds.com for sure.

Versatile pockets for steep walls
I am using these on a 35 deg wall. For my hands, the set includes 2 two-finger,  2 three-finger, and 2 four-finger pockets. All are 1.5 to 2  pads deep when turned big side down, and .5 to 1 pad with the small side down. There is a slight lip on the pocket on both sides, so it is positive in both orientations, and the texture is good and grippy. They stick out 1.5" to 2" from the wall, are around 3" to 5" in diameter, and have sloping sides. On less steep terrain, you could probably use them as slopers by grabbing the outside. At 35 deg, the big side feels like V3, small side is probably V4/5. If you want harder pockets, look to the Yaniro sets. The bolt hole countersink is wide enough that, if you run out of the usual Allen head bolts (like I did), you can use a regular 3/8" hex head bolt and tighten it down with a 9/16" socket. Bonus!

Awesome Variety of Pockets
I was impressed by the variety of different sizes that came in this set, from two fingers up to four. They can be set right-side up to feel deeper and juggier, or flipped upside down to feel shallower. This has allowed me to set problems with a wide variety of difficulty on my home wall.

Wide assortment of pockets
A nice variety of pockets of differing sizes and difficulties. I set these on a 40 degree wall, and they have been good so far. The smallest pocket is quite bad and requires some real pulling to control, while the largest hold has featured as one of my finishing jugs. The holds in between fall somewhere in the middle, including some comfortable 3-finger pockets for warming up and some shallower and smaller pockets that require more pulling power. The ability to flip them is nice, though for the most part I found myself mostly setting them up to grab on the more conventional edge.
