5 Small Simple Crimps

Overview

The 5 Small Simple Crimps stand off of the wall by about 1" while the "simple" crease is about 5/8" back. The overall landing area is around 7/8". The crease offers a change on the incut's contour so that you can dig in for a little more purchase. This is an excellent hold to challenge the beginners on vertical walls. Expect V2 when setting on vertical. On a 45-degree wall, this set gets serious. The incut is around 10-degrees on average, however, the "simple" crease does off a little bit more of a purchase. Expect V6+ in steep 45-degree terrain. The holds are quite wide at 3-1/2" to 4" which gives you plenty of room for all four fingers and a comfortable thumb-catch.
