So I got these holds to try to test out/train tension and finger strength. And they do just that. Between vertical and 35 degrees these crimps can create anything between V0 to V8 (harder as well, but I am setting for longevity of my tendons and muscles -- just fairly standard at home training and movement). However, I felt like at a 45 you would be HARD pressed to just set with these holds and have it feel easier than V10. Now this is relative, because I am just creating simple 5 move problems at that angle (basically spray board movement). What I really like about them though is that even at the steeper angle the hold is still hangable, even if you can't move on the hold initially there is a pathway to train into it.
