In their most positive orientation, with the proton on top, these are quite secure on a 35 degree wall. Because the protons are round you still have to keep good tension to stay on, but they reward good technique. The holds in the set that I received had a variety of 1, 2, and 3 protons per hold, which was different from the picture on the website, but a welcome surprise for me. The protons on the multi-proton holds vary in size slightly, so you can choose your proton by rotating the hold. On the holds with just one proton, rotating the hold so that the proton is oriented to one side or even on the bottom will increase the difficulty.
