I have an outdoor training wall that is set at a 30^ angle. Without these holds the wall would almost be unusable for an amateur climber like me. The rounded edge provides good contact, but did rough up my pads. After using some better technique I'm able to grip the holds without as much wear on my hands. These are great holds for beginners to help build strength and access to challenging portions of your climbing wall that might be too advanced. I plan on buying more in the future. Holds are expensive, and after shipping and hardware costs these particular holds average out to about $10 a piece, but they absolutely get used on every training day, so they are worth the investment.
