If rock-like designs are your thing, the 5 XL Limestone Roof Jugs Set #1 is an excellent choice. They are pretty roomy for your hands; however, be aware that this set is the smallest in our extra-large line. Two of the holds technically are large, and three are extra-large.

You can use these holds in multiple orientations and on different angles of climbing walls. You can grab three of the grips with both hands. Your fingers will get a solid two to three pad deep of purchase. The limestone design also offers thumb catches for both left and right hands.

This is a good beginner set on vertical to slightly overhanging climbing walls yielding V0/1. On a 45-degree wall, they will produce V2. On a roof, this set will feel in the V4 range.

The incuts are close to neutral, which means that the incut will be horizontal to the ground when bolted to a roof.

  • SIZE: The smallest hold measures 3" wide x 2-3/4" tall x 2-3/8" standing off the wall.
  • SIZE: The largest hold measures 5-1/2" wide x 3-1/2' tall x 2" staining off the wall.
  • Texture: The texture offers a grip that is skin-friendly and feels like natural rock.

Excellent set
This set is great for any degree wall and can all be used in multiple directions. Great diversity in the set with three possible double-handers. All very solid two to three pad holds.

Great set
I ordered this set and couldn't ask for more. I use four on the roof and one on an overhang. You can definitely grab with two hands on most of them.

Great on any angle
I got this set for my climbing wall which has a very steep 75 degree angle roof and a variable angle wall that adjusts from vertical to 45 degrees.  These things are bomber and amazingly versatile.  I love the texture and opposing thumb catches.

Excellent Value
These jugs rock! The large jug is double-sided it works well on your home wall regardless of which directions you're traversing. These holds work excellently on volumes, roofs, and steeply angled walls. For the money, it's difficulty to beat this set of holds.

Great roof jugs
I ordered these for the roof on my home wall and 15, 30, 45 degree panels. They work great for all of these angles and the roof. Love the texture, feel, and look!

Great Limestone Hold
If you are between the Large 12 set and this 5 XL set of the limestone family, go with this one. It is definately bigger, and allows you to set on roofs and very steep 45-60 degrees.  Great set, good size, excellent texture.

Great set
These are great holds, I have a 30 degree section and a roof section that these holds work great on. Some of these holds can be rotated and used in many different directions. The texture is great and very grippy.

Comfy holds!
We ordered these holds for our home gym. They are comfy and have cool details. I’d say they are more Large sized vs XL. They are nice for roofs but not giant sized.

Great finish jugs
Great jugs especially for a big finish on my 40 degree wall. Texture is really nice no worries about getting a flapper. Also good for undercling starts and warming up on.

My favorite holds yet
These are my favorite holds that I currently own!  Each of the 5 in this set is a unique shape and makes for great, creative route setting.  I use them on a 30 degree wall and the holds feel very comfortable and positive.

Great Value Roof Jugs
I have these set on a 35 degree home wall, and I find they're great for a warming up, endurance, a mid-problem rest or a finishing hold. The orange one (based on the site product photos) is great as the limestone texture continues to the inside of the hold. Doing this for the other holds in the set is the only improvement I would have suggested.

One thing I didn't see before purchasing them was the sizes. They all stand about 2 inches off the wall and are approximately the following sizes in inches (HxL):
3.5x4 (orange one, my favourite)
5x5.5 (2 hander)
5x3
4.5x5.5
4.5x5.5

Awesome Set
I found these to be an awesome complement to the Great 108 set. As a fairly new climber, this set opened up a lot of angled terrain that was too hard on the smaller holds in the Great 108 set. Very versatile as well, given all the different potential grips for each hold.

Jugalicious
Great steep angle set for your money.  Easy grab on my home wall at 38 and great for training in the 45-55 degree range if you're looking to build that core strength up at this angle with long armed flow  without killing your hands.   Get some!

Awesome!
Love these jugs for my 40 degree home wall, feels like nice v 1/2 depending on how you space the holds. Most can take both hands also good for hand/heel matching, would recommend!

Great quality, positive jugs
These are great holds that work well on the 60 degree section of my wall. From the picture, I made an assumption that they were slightly bigger than they are. Though you can grab a couple with two hands, most are just nice solid one handed jugs with great thumb catches. The texture is amazing. While grippy, it doesn’t beat up my hands like some of the other top brands. Happy with the purchase for sure.

Big Jugs
These are big jugs with good variety. They seem like they would be solid even on roof sections or as a nice finishing hold on a smaller wall. The yellow one is big enough for two hands easily and the others can fit two hands if your hands aren't too big.

Best Roof Set for Price
This is the best roof set for the price.  I have gotten this set twice and love it.  Three of the holds are bomber for roof sections.  The other two are a little more advanced.  Atomik was also awesome and graciously tweaked my last set just a little bit to make the set perfect for my roof section.  These could be used for dynos on inclined walls as well.  Might get a third time...!

Great for overhangs and roofs
I got a set on one of the deals of the day.  I needed some big jugs and these are great.  Comfortable grip on a 30 deg overhang.  I plan to move these to a totally horizontal roof wall soon.  I think they will be fun there because the thumb catches can also be used to position toes and maintain balance on steep climbs.

A favorite purchase
This set is a good variety of shapes and grip. We tend to use these at the top of our 25° wall as finish holds. Some we angled in different ways in the middle of a problem. Good variety of uses with these.

Awesome jugs
Agree with the other reviews which mention that this set is great on any angle. I've used them from 15 degrees to 45. Like them a lot.

Large, comfortable jugs
Large, comfortable jugs, deep enough to fully grab with all 4 fingers. These jugs come in unique shapes, and some of which can be grabbed with 2 hands in different directions.  This gives unique setting opportunities since 1 hold can be held for example as both overhand and as an undercling.  Finally, great texture on these jugs.  100% recommend.

Whole hand, sometimes two
These are great on any angle. I have them on my 50 degree wall as finishers and warm up routes. Still good when you change the orientation. Texture is pretty rough, for some reason the orange one in the picture is harder on my skin than the others but worth it given how good it is. Most of these holds can be matched.

Comfy Big Jugs
Needed more jugs, and these were perfectly sized and perfectly priced. They are deep enough that you can sink all three pads into them, and are rounded enough that they don't feel abrasive on your hands when you get to the end of a long session. Aside from the double-sided jug, there are also a couple of larger jugs in this set that can work as two-handers. I use them on a 30-degree wall as underclings, finish jugs, side pulls, catch jugs on dynamic moves ... There are just so many possibilities with these.

Very positive holds
These are great in steep terrain and offer good rest spots, two hand matches, and/or finishing holds. The two hander (blue in the product photo) is my favorite, it is a sick undercling! These are a must-have for steep walls.

Great holds but smaller than expected
These are easy to hold and no sharp weirdness.  Not a complaint, but they were smaller than expected.  Would say L more than XL.  Two are one-handers and the rest are 1.5 handish.  But I'm 6'1 so maybe they are jugs to you!  Either way, they are not quite buckets, but still quality jugs that still offer a little bit of challenge!

Nice holds to start a roof section
These holds are great for a roof or any wall.  The variety changes depending on which way they are placed. One of them is designed as a 2 hander which creates even more opportunities.  The texture is great as well creating opportunities for thumb catches or other grips.

Great finish on overhung walls
I set up these holds as the finish for a few routes on my 45 degree wall.  They are suitable for steep walls and provide plenty to grab hold of.  The two hander is also great for a start of a dyno as it provides a stable foundation to launch from.

Awesome Roof Jugs
I have these up on my roof and they are great. They are juggy enough for toe hooking and even roof heel hooks.  I particularly love the two handed jug.

great price
I got these on my roof section and they offer great hand and toe hooks. they feel great and they make roof section very comfortable to climb. I would say maybe a v2 but maybe a little harder but its hard to tell being i have climbing for awhile. Honestly for the price you cant go wrong getting this set for your wall.

Killer Holds
These worked really well for my weak beginner hands. If you are looking for a small set of holds that are useable on any degree of wall, these will suffice (by far).

great price
these are a great price for the holds you are getting. nice solid holds that feel nice and you can also use a few as toe clips on the roof. I got mine set up on a 45 degree angle with one hold as a double handle finisher hold. v0 to v2 depending on your set up on the wall but they will make any wall fun to climb.

Great for roof - 4/5. 1/5 So So roof, but fantastic for 45 degree wall
I have these setup on the roof section of my wall, and I use them as my "finish" holds, with the goal to get both hands on the hold.  This is coming off a 45 degree wall.  4 of them work great for this, as you can really grab them and often get two hands on them.  The one hold is really only good for one hand and still is good enough for a roof, but like the others.

I've put them on the 45 part of the wall, and they are amazing V0/V1 type jugs.

I would recommend for any roof or for easy holds on a steep wall.

A fun Pack!
These are Great Holds for their price! I was amazed by their size (pretty large) and their different styled shapes. One of them even has a two sided-grip that everyone loves. They are also great for getting down after finishing any route. Great for really angle walls! Definitely want more of these in the future.

Two Hands, Okay!
These work great on my home wall with a 45˚ face. My wall is about 11 feet tall and, being a beginner, these get me up and down safely. These are nice holds for safe 'climb-downs' but work well in any route as a nice resting spot! Definitely get these.

Crucial for steep walls!
So you've set hundreds of holds on your 45 degree wall and are having a blast, but begin to realize that you might actually need to warm up or set problems for your kids or run a power endurance circuit. Enter this lovely set!
