The 5 Large Steep Wall Slopers are some of the most cost-effective slopers you can put on your wall. These designs offer just enough size to be considered a sloper while keeping the materials to produce them at a minimum.

The holds are directionally-shaped, which means as you rotate them, they reveal a more challenging grip area.  The incut is level to slightly slopey on a 45-degree angled wall, so you can expert an intermediate to expert level hold in that terrain.  Expect V5/V6 in steep terrain.

For the beginner, this is an excellent set for vertical to slightly overhanging walls. They feel like a textured incut cobblestone which is incut enough to introduce beginners to sloper climbing holds. On a vertical wall, you can expect V1.

  • Measures on Average: 4-1/2" wide x 4-1/2" tall x 2-1/4" standing off the wall.
  • V5/6 on a 45-degree wall.
  • V1 on a vertical wall.
  • Texture: Atomik 1.0

Great space-saving sloper
These were among my first holds from Atomik and are still some of my favorites. I use them on my 35 degree wall, and they feel in the v3/4 range in their most positive orientation. They are just big enough to encourage an open grip, rather than a pinch, but they are not so big as to be space hogs on the spray wall. If you have limited space and want some all-purpose slopers, these are a good choice.

Slopers are my nemesis
I bought these to challenge me on my steep (48 degree) wall.  These have a great texture for a good grip.  Nice shape for the hands and feel comfortable.  I'll definitely be using these more to get stronger on my slopers.

beginner wall
We just had a wall installed for the kids to play on and be introduced to climbing. We were looking for a variety of pretty easy holds and these are a great addition. The broad convex shape is challenging for the kids (and me), but they are big and grippy enough to not be unusable for us beginners. Adds a nice variety of holds to learn on. Looking forward to adjusting their orientation in the future for more variety.

Nice slopers
These are great. I've got them in a V2 on a vertical wall, could probably go V3+ if I turned them upside down. Nice easy texture on the skin. Good for stemming too.

The perfect amount of difficulty
These holds are perfect to set some challenging, fun problems. You can get just enough bite on them to move to and from them in creative ways, but you're definitely aware of how slopey they are the entire time you're gripping.  I have them set on a 45 degree wall.

Love these slopers!
These slopers have been great on my on my 40 degree home wall, V4+. Super subtle and versatile shapes. I'll definitely be getting more of these.

Great holds on 30deg, and certainly not jugs
These holds are smaller than I thought, which ended up making them great for training but certainly threw me off from expecting a set of "gym slopers."  Set on our 30deg wall we're getting about a full pad, maybe 1.5pad of purchase.  BUT that makes them great holds for the V3+ range and it's nice to have tough holds that you can warm up on without worrying too much about your tendons.  I strongly recommend these little guys for anyone looking for something a bit different and challenging.

Simple yet Amazing Slopers
I have over 100 problems up on my 40 degree home wall and these holds are in my absolute favorite problem. So yeah they are great. Also, short story about Atomik customer service:  When these holds arrived one of them had a slight crack in it. I emailed a photo of the hold to Atomik. They were extremely apologetic and immediately sent me a whole new set of the holds. No charge at all. I love this company.

Your hands will thank you!
These feel great in the hands and on an overhang, really help build up the sloper-strength. Great open hand slopers and fairly challenging. Atomik always comes through with fantastic products!

Really Good Set for My 40 Degree
I wanted to get some slopers that would all be usable on my 40 degree in the back yard. These delivered! I like the texture and their shape makes them easy on the fingers. I also purchased the medium slopers and they compliment each other very well. These are just a bit bigger to so plenty of room for hands and fingers.

Great!
These are good beginner slopers if they are on a vertical wall, but can be super tough on a wall with a good angle. They are big enough to get about your whole hand around them. I put them on a 20 degree wall and they are maybe V3 difficulty.

These.Are.Awesome.
I was looking for a safe hold for my 30* wall while recovering from a finger injury. I got that, but so much more. They’re hard enough to force accuracy and body tension, but easy enough to make big moves to. Love them.

Open one hand slopers
I love slopers. And I love THESE slopers! They're perfectly sized and shaped, and they just feel AWESOME! I've got these on my 40 deg wall and I really like slapping on them. They force me to really engage my fingers and forearms, and to compress. You can easily rotate them to make them a little harder or easier to hold. I got these in earth tone red and they're just really beautiful to look at with the addition of a nice layer of white chalk, haha. Love em!

My Favorites
I absolutely love these holds. Really nice round hold that is challenging enough for my 45 and fun to grab. Best sloper on the market for the price.

Feel so nice - a little easier than others are saying
Very nicely incut slopers. I purchased these to replace Teknik "Short Round Slopers" which were unusable (for me) on my 40 degree wall. I am very happy with these as replacements for them. I climb V4 on the moonboard/outdoors, V5-6 in the gym. These feel great to me - but maybe a little easier than what some other reviewers are saying. I would say they range V3-4 depending on the incut when set straight up and down, on my 40 wall. With reasonable feet I am able to throw them, to lock off on them, but I still have to work hard for them not to spit me off the wall. Love them!

Nice slopers
These are some of my favorite holds because they’re so much fun. Not hard on the hands and finders and I find I can grip them fairly well on a 25 degree overhang, but they still make me work. If you spread them out, moving between them becomes much more challenging.  Kids are liking these too, especially when they get a chance to put their feet on one.

Get strong!!!
These holds are perfect for open hand problems. They are comfortable and don’t stress any tendons in a bad way. On a 40* wall they make you engage your finger tips. All the holds are slightly different some harder than others. Super basic super useable at all angles. Choose the earth tone red, looks great and is a color you don’t see on holds often.

Positive balls
Super fun! Full hand, grapefruit-ish sized ball slopers. Enough positivity for a 45 degree wall, but versatile too if you want to turn them. Some of my favorites.

solid steep wall slopers
Slopers that work on a steep wall can be pretty hard to find, but these were exactly what I needed on my 40 degree board. I like setting these as side pulls for really nice compression problems. They're mostly pretty similar to each other, and work well in the v5/6 range at this angle (or harder if they're facing the wrong way). Perfect for gaining some open handed strength if your crimps are feeling tweaky... At this angle, i don't think I would ever rotate them to use the really slopey side. I don't exactly pinch these, but I do use my thumb on the side for some extra pull.

Cool holds
These are some neat little cobble like slopers. Oddly the same size as the Medium set of the same name, but less incut. I would dissent from the popular opinion that these feel like v6 on 40-45. Not unless these folks are making big moves to them. Probably more like V4 at 45 and hard V3 at 40.

Positive on a 40 degree wall
I find some of the other reviewer comments a bit misleading - these are closer to V1-V3 holds on our 40 degree wall. They're quite positive and we can throw to them with one hand. However, we love how these holds feel, and we can rotate them to increase the difficulty.

Great slopers
These feel more medium-sized than large as far as slopers go, so you can sort of pinch them if they're set as a side pull. They're definitely incut enough for steep climbing, and upside down, they'd make harder slopers on vert. A few reviewers have said you can "dial in" the difficulty by turning them, but so far all I've noticed that does is give you side pull and underclings; the incut doesn't taper off gradually enough for this to really be the case. That said these really do feel great.

Super Versatile
Love these holds. They fit the hand perfectly, and make for a comfortable open handed grip. Rotating the holds dials up the difficulty while still remaining comfortable.

some of my favorite holds
(put these up on my ~37 degree wall)

very nice texture, incut side can make these very positive feeling but still not quite juggy. good for compression and as others have mentioned can be rotated to adjust difficulty. I think you still would end up using the more positive side most of the time though, the other side is significantly more slopey.

Perfect sloper for a 45° wall
There is still a little bit of positivity to the sloper on a 45° wall. Depending on your strength, you can even match on these. They are very easy on the skin, and extremely grippy.

Must have
This set is awesome, the texture is great and not too damaging to the skin. They can be use comfortably on my 45 degree wall, but you do need to pull hard. I will probably re-order an extra set in the future.

Ergonomic Slopers
These feel great in the hand- very ergonomic. They're wonderful on a 40 degree board, and can be rotated to work well on less steep walls.

Great Jug Slopers
These feel amazing on our 45. They are a nice step up in difficulty from the Steep Wall Dripstone Slopers (which have a little more incut to them), thus creates a nice progression when training slopers. I love that they fit perfectly in one hand and are not matchable on any sort of steep angle. Perfect for either compression, or big throws and pogo moves.

Open hand Jugs
These slopers were much better than I was expecting them to be. I have them on my 30 degree wall. They feel like open handed jugs more so than slopers. Either way they are great for adding some variety to your wall. You can orient them in different ways so that they get easier or much harder if you flip them around. Very pleased with these grips.

Nice home wall slopers
Good one hand slopers on my 40 degree wall very nice to hold and pull on. you can match on them but it’s pretty difficult. I really enjoy the boulders you can set with them

Very versatile slopers
Good for ~v6 on a 45 degree wall. Can make more difficult routes though depending on the movement. These are hard to "cheat" by pinching. They can be heel/toe hooked rather well. Texture is nice and grippy without tearing the skin up much. All feel pretty similar yet different enough that it still gives variety. Definitely recommend!

Exactly what I was looking for!
I have these on a 40 degree wall and they are very challenging. I'd say the v5/v6 estimation of difficulty is pretty accurate. They have nice texture and are easy on the fingers. Great slopers!

nice texture and nice incut
Just mounted these on a 30 degree wall and love the feel of them. They are a little hard for me which is good as i am trying to find holds to work up to. I am around a v3+ climber and I am able to move off all of them as long as it is dynamic and I move to a larger hold. moving from one of the slopers to another does not seem that far off though.

Just the right size and shape
This set of slopers fits the hand perfectly.  Barely incut so they work perfectly as an open-handed hold.  You can literally "dial" in the difficulty of the problem you're setting by rotating them one way or another.  They are roughly 3 to 3-1/2 inches across and stand about 1-1/2 inches off the wall.  For me, these are really hard on a 30 degree wall but I'm not a 5.12 climber either.  On vertical, they are just "fun" and if turned to be more slopey, even a bit challenging.  These have the original Atomik texture so they are "grippier" than the new Atomik 2.0 texture.  For a steep wall sloper, I think this is a good thing :-)

Nice for open handed problems
I have these mounted on a 45 degree wall. Great holds that are easy on the skin and tendons. You can turn them to make harder problems. Good for training as they won't tear up your fingers.
