This set of 5 holds consists of comfortable one and a half finger-pad deep pockets. They are the next size smaller in the Golfus Pocket Line when compared to Set #1.
They feel V1 for beginners on vertical walls and become an intermediate hold on any angle steeper. V1 means a challenge for a beginner but in an easy way. It's the difference between blindly grabbing the top of a hold to being forced to putting two or three of your fingers in an easy to grip hold.
The incut of the pockets is in the area of 45-degrees, so on walls less than 45-degrees overhanging, you will be getting an incut pocket. On a 45-degree wall, the incut of the pocket is close to horizontal feeling V3.
A surprise in a good way is that there are smaller holds designed near the bolt hole. So the Expert might take a look at these "Flip Side Pockets." They are 3/4" to 1" deep, which is a full finger pad deep. The Flip Side pockets range from slightly slopey to slightly incut and feel V2 on vertical walls and V6 on 45-degree overhanging wall.
The Spinner Screw is a nice design touch as well. Since the climbing hold won't spin, it is an excellent choice for outdoor and playground climbing walls.
When installed in their most positive direction, they feel V1 on vertical and V3 on a 45-degree wall.
Rotating the hold a full 180-degrees, The Flip Side, these pockets feel V2 on vertical and V6 on a 45-degree wall.
