I bought a set of these to mount on the Triangle Mini-Volumes that I have on a 20-degree wall and small panel of roof in my garage. The goal was to set more consistently difficult, engaging traverses/circuits, instead of being forced to constantly grab micro-crimps (Ouch!) in order to make things difficult.
The holds have been great—an amazing, grippy but not too aggressive texture. A slight ergonomic rounding that makes them kind on the joints and pleasant to grab. Just enough depth to make them big enough for severely overhanging terrain. And enough width that, even with my fat fingers, I can still get all four digits on and close the thumb comfortably.
Mounted on the volumes on the 20-degree wall, they provide 5.11–5.12 difficulty (as part of 20- to 40-move circuits), and on the roof they provide 5.12–5.13 difficulty.
