I bought a set of these to mount on the Triangle Mini-Volumes that I have on a roof, 10-degree wall, and 20-degree wall in my garage. The goal was to set more consistently difficult, engaging traverses/circuits, instead of being forced to constantly grab micro-crimps (Ouch!) in order to make things difficult.
The holds have been great—an amazing, grippy but not too aggressive texture. A slight ergonomic rounding that makes them kind on the joints and pleasant to grab. And they're just wide enough that with my fat fingers, I can still get all four digits on and close the thumb comfortably.
Mounted on the volumes on the 10-degree wall, they provide 5.11–5.12 difficulty (as part of 20- to 40-move circuits), and on the 20-degree wall and the roof they provide 5.12–5.13 difficulty. I have a few out individually on the walls, too: Expect V2–V4 difficulty on walls under 30 degrees, and V5 on up on walls 30 degrees or more overhanging. These puppies will teach you to crimp like a beast while also minimizing injury potential!
