We often get the request from our customers for a specific hold from a specific set. In our world, we call those holds "marquis holds". These are the holds that route setters will choose first when looking through a box of holds getting ready to set a problem. The best of the best.
Volume #1 directs itself towards shapes that are easier to hold. Sure you'll still get crimps, slopers, pinches, jugs etc. but they will all be positive so that a beginner will have no problem on them on vertical walls to semi steep walls. It's can be a great set for steep walls as well.
We expect you to get about 50 holds but that varies because this set is based on weight. We will weigh your set that you customize so that it meets a minimum weight. So if we add some really big holds, you might get 45 or if we add less of the really big holds, you'll see more. Either way, rest assured you are getting exactly or more than what you are paying for. Let's not forget that you are getting hooked up with a hand picked set of marquis holds from our most current line!
