Almost like a whole boulder problem in a set. There is a jug, a pinch, a sloper and a dish. With rotations, you guessed it, more options. Cool looking and functional, this set adds lots of interest to a bouldering wall.
As for what angles to use them on, they are a great intro into advanced grip technique on vertical walls for beginners. As soon as the wall kicks back over 90 degrees, they become intermediate holds. For steep walls at 45 degrees, the jug feels like V3/V4 and the remaining 3 come in at much burlier level of V5+. You could easily be setting hard boulder problems with these.
The only hold that could be considered useful in super steep sections or on roofs would be the jug. It turns into a pinch that will have you weeping. It's worth a try. We sell a lot of the jug design separately to gyms because they just can't stop at one.
